Combustion Behavior Tests – ECE R118
The combustion and melting behavior of the materials used in the M3 category bus and the capacity increase tests of the materials in the engine compartment are critical not only for product quality but also for passenger safety and legal compliance. Especially for public transportation vehicles, the speed of flame spread is a technical requirement defined by regulations.
Optival performs tests that evaluate the combustion performance and capacity increase of plastic, textile, rubber and composite materials other than glass and metal used in in-vehicle equipment and engine compartments with its own laboratory infrastructure.
