According to ASIL levels, the accuracy of safety measures, traceability of safety work products and integrity of processes are ensured through pre-certification audit and assessment activities.
As Optival, we perform both functional safety process audits (FS Audit) and product and project assessments (FS Assessment); we provide documentation and reporting services according to the audit result.
Functional Safety Process Audit (FS Audit)
Within the framework of the Functional Safety Management System (FSM):
- Organizational structure, responsibility definitions, workflows and FSM processes are audited
- The integrity and effectiveness of the systematic approach within the scope of ISO 26262 Part 2 is checked
- At the end of the audit, an audit report is prepared and certificates are issued to compliant organizations
Functional Safety Project Assessment (FS Assessment)
On the basis of the product or system developed:
- Review safety plan, HARA, principal assignments, safety objectives and safety concept
- Technical safety requirements, test plans, verification records and traceability chain are assessed
- All work products are verified for compliance with the relevant parts of ISO 26262
- FS Assessment Report and project eligibility certificate are issued for projects that meet the required criteria
